VMFA-232 “Red Devils” High Top Canvas Shoes
VMFA-232, known as the “Red Devils,” is the oldest and most decorated fighter squadron in the United States Marine Corps. Established in 1925, the squadron has a rich history that spans nearly a century. Over the years, VMFA-232 has flown a variety of aircraft, including the F4U Corsair during World War II, the F-8 Crusader and F-4J Phantom during the Vietnam War, and currently, the F/A-18 Hornet.
The “Red Devils” have seen combat in nearly every major conflict involving the United States, from World War II to Operation Enduring Freedom. Their emblem, featuring a red devil holding a trident, symbolizes their aggressive spirit and combat prowess.
