Fokker Dr.1 of Ltn. Josef Jacobs Low Top Canvas Shoes
This design is inspired by the Fokker Dr.1 triplane flown by Ltn. Josef Jacobs. Â Jacobs was one of Germany’s top aces during World War I, flying the iconic Fokker Dr.1 triplane. His aircraft was distinctive for its black paint scheme, setting it apart from the typical red of the famous Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen. Jacobs achieved 48 confirmed aerial victories, many of them while flying his black Fokker Dr.1. His aircraft was also known for displaying the personal emblem of a “devil’s head,” adding to its fearsome reputation. Jacobs’ flying skill and his Fokker Dr.1 made him one of the most successful and respected pilots in the German Imperial Air Service during the war.
