Lancaster “G for George” Low Top Canvas Shoes
The Lancaster W4783 known as “G for George”, was a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) heavy bomber that served with No. 460 Squadron (RAAF) during World War II. It flew ninety operational missions over Germany and occupied Europe during the height of the bomber offensive until its retirement from active service in 1944. It is now preserved at the Australian War Memorial (AWM), Canberra, Australia.
